Go to Crono’s house in Truce, southeast of Leene Square, in 1000 A.D. Go upstairs, ask his mother to take the clone, then face it and press A to pick it up. Return to Keeper’s Dome in 2300 A.D. and speak with Belthasar’s Nu while carrying it to continue the Death Peak preparations.

Protect Fiona’s late-game sidequest

Before leaving Zeal Palace in 12,000 B.C., speak with the woman tending a sapling and tell her to plant it secretly.

  • Choose the planting response in Zeal Palace.
  • If Zeal has fallen, tell the sapling woman in the Commons in 12,000 B.C. to plant it instead.
  • Return to Fiona’s Villa in 600 A.D. during the late-game route; the swirling sand pit now lies southwest of it.

The route protects the choices that open Fiona's sidequest, the permanently changing areas of Zeal, the Blackbird inventory recovery, the route into the Black Omen, and other consequential moments. Ordinary treasure is kept in proportion: missing a chest does not invalidate the promised story and sidequests.
