Built for the moment the game asks a question.

The useful answer is rarely a history of every possible strategy. It is a dependable instruction at the right time: collect two items before the route closes, take the north exit, prepare one resistance, then continue.

Standard Editions turn that principle into a complete walkthrough. Each edition follows one supported route, resolves conflicting advice where the available evidence allows it, and states uncertainty plainly when it does not.

The reader-facing test

  • What should happen now?
  • What should happen before leaving?
  • What can be permanently missed?
  • Where does the route go next?

A small shelf by design.

Complete routes take time to research, write, check, and correct. Retro Game Guides does not promise a guide for every game or a fixed publication pace. The current shelf is promoted clearly; new editions join it when they are ready to support.

Personal TXT guides remain part of the app. Import an alternative walkthrough, FAQ, map, or note whenever another voice is useful or no Standard Edition exists.

Written for the offline reader.

A Standard Edition uses the same continuous reader as every other guide. Search inside it, open Contents, adjust the reading theme, and resume from the saved position. The guide stays on-device and remains available without a connection.

Versioned and correctable.

Every edition names its platform and scope. Corrections update the supported route instead of leaving conflicting versions scattered across the site. Game details outside the stated platform, region, or completion promise are not implied.
