Can a Paladin become a Pegasus Knight later?
No. Promotion is a one-time class choice. Keep a Knight unpromoted until level 20 or higher and obtain Pegasus Wing in Pacalon castle: stand on the rightmost part of the throne room’s blue carpet, walk straight south to the wall and Search. Carry the wing outside the Caravan depot, choose Promote at a priest and confirm Pegasus Knight before accepting. If already promoted to Paladin, keep that class or reload a save from before promotion.
How do I damage Taros after obtaining the Achilles Sword?
Equip the Achilles Sword on Bowie through Item → Equip, then use Bowie’s Attack. Carrying it on another character does not work; the rest of the party and damage spells cannot replace his attack here. Clear the ordinary enemies first, keep Sarah within healing reach and carry healing items on support units. Taros can attack at range, cast Bolt and take extra turns, so heal Bowie early. If he still deals no damage, recheck his equipped sword.

Have the Cannon but North Cliff is still blocked?

Complete the New Granseal errand before returning to the cave.

  • In New Granseal castle, speak to Astral and finish the meeting so he accompanies you.
  • Retrieve the Cannon from the Caravan depot into an active character’s inventory.
  • Speak to the man beside the weapon shop for Dynamite; keep both items in active inventories.
  • Leave east, then north. Clear Battle 24 and approach the blocked cave to the northeast.

Rohde opens the cave and joins as a Brass Gunner. If it stays closed, check both carried items and the completed Astral meeting before trying the entrance again.

Should I use Running Pimento before promotion?
Save it until after the intended character is promoted. Promoting afterward removes its movement bonus. Keep the item in inventory or the Caravan depot while waiting, retrieve it after promotion and use it on the intended character. A Running Ring can help temporarily while an unpromoted unit waits.
